Sustainable Network Of the World - User Agreement & Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms," "Terms of Service") carefully before using the Sustainable Network Of the World website (the "Service") operated by Sustainable Network Of the World.
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
1. Emergency Services & SOS Disclaimer (CRITICAL)
The Service includes crowdsourced disaster mapping, real-time necessity reporting, and an emergency SOS broadcast tool. You explicitly acknowledge and agree that the Service is a peer-to-peer resource coordination network and IS NOT a certified emergency service provider, public safety answering point (PSAP), or official dispatch system.
Triggering an SOS, using emergency tags (e.g., Fire, Flood, Medical), or reporting a disaster on the map does not alert local authorities, police, fire departments, or medical personnel. In any life-threatening situation or dangerous emergency, you must contact official local emergency services directly. Sustainable Network Of the World assumes no liability for delayed, missed, or failed emergency responses.
2. Peer-to-Peer Assistance & Offline Interactions
Our Service allows users to post requests for essentials (Needs, Wants) and enables other users to submit offers to help (e.g., via the "Help Offered" and direct messaging features).
All interactions, communications, and real-world coordination between users are conducted solely at your own risk. We do not perform background checks, identity verification, or safety screenings on any user. Sustainable Network Of the World assumes zero liability for any offline interactions, personal injury, property damage, scams, or financial loss resulting from your reliance on a peer-to-peer help request, offer, or real-world meetup coordinated through the Service.
3. Accounts & Security
When you create an account, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.
You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities under your account. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use. You may not use a username that is offensive, vulgar, obscene, or subject to the rights of another person or entity without authorization.
4. Content & Conduct (Public Posts and Private Messages)
Our Service allows you to post and exchange content, including public map pins, posts on "The Commons", multimedia uploads, and private direct messages ("Content"). You are solely responsible for your Content and its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.
By posting public Content, you grant us the right to use, modify, publicly display, and distribute it on the Service. You retain your rights to your Content.
Prohibited Conduct: Whether posting publicly on the map and The Commons, or communicating privately via direct messaging, you agree NOT to:
- Post or send Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, or racially/ethnically objectionable.
- Use the peer-to-peer help features or messaging systems to coordinate illegal transactions, scams, or deceptive financial behavior.
- Infringe on any patent, trademark, trade secret, or copyright.
- Upload software viruses or malicious code.
- Spam, mass-solicit, or distribute unauthorized advertising.
- Share personally identifiable information about another person without their express consent.
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, and remove any Content (public or private) that violates these Terms, and to suspend or terminate accounts accordingly.
5. Geolocation Data
When you submit a "Need," "Post," "Project," or any map-based Content, you explicitly grant us permission to collect, store, and publicly display this geolocation data. You understand that this pin and the associated information will be visible to other users and the public. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your geolocation data and the privacy implications of sharing your location.
6. Liquid Democracy, Voting, and Resource Allocation
The Service features a delegative (liquid) democracy system where users can vote on community delegates, projects, and the allocation of resources across city, regional, national, and global categories.
You acknowledge that this voting system is currently an advisory, community-driven tool used to map consensus. Sustainable Network Of the World does not currently act as a financial broker or escrow service, and community votes do not represent legally binding financial contracts or guaranteed payouts from the platform.
7. Links To Other Web Sites
Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of any third-party content, goods, or services.
8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Sustainable Network Of the World does not warrant that a) the Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location; b) any errors or defects will be corrected; c) the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or d) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver. If any provision is held invalid by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
10. Games & Entertainment (PixelSpy)
The Service includes entertainment applications such as "PixelSpy". By playing these games, you acknowledge that your gameplay statistics, completion times, and submitted usernames will be stored and displayed publicly on global leaderboards. PixelSpy is provided strictly for entertainment purposes.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice (via site banner or platform notification) prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
12. Contact Us
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at sustainablenetworkoftheworld@gmail.com.
